Helpful Web Design Podcasts

One of my favorite ways to keep up with the latest news, techniques, and best practices is by listening to web design podcasts. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a good list of them yet. So I thought I would put together a list of my own.

d.Construct

d.Construct is a British web design conference held in Brighton. After the conference is over, the talks are made available as a podcast. The quality of the talks is usually quite high, as you can tell by looking at this year’s speaker list, which includes Eric Meyer and Jeremy Keith.

South By SouthWest (SXSW)

SXSW, is of course, a monster event, with huge numbers of talks available on their feed. However, the quality of these talks tend to be quite uneven, with a lot of uninteresting stuff mixed in with some sheer gold (like Khoi Vinh’s Grids are Good).

.net Magazine Podcast

The .net Magazine Podcast is hosted by Paul Boag (see below) and features roundtable discussions of some interesting web design related topics in the news.

BoagWorld.com Podcast

Personally, this is my favorite podcast in the list. Paul and Marcus are delightfully entertaining to listen to (perhaps it’s that British flair), and it has the advantage that they are constantly producing new episodes.

Web Directions North

I haven’t yet had a chance to listen to this podcast, but it looks like it will be good quality stuff from the WDN conference.
